Dated 16th September: Nando’s Pakistan launches quest for bloggers to “#TasteTheCarnival”
Karachi, 17th September, Nando’s Pakistan invited prominent Karachi based bloggers on a fun-filled quest to taste the carnival.
The quest began at the S.M.C.H.S branch where bloggers were the invited bloggers were split into teams and requested to find logos hidden throughout the branch.
Upon successful completion of the first task, bloggers were provided with a coded message and were instructed to reach the boat basin outlet to decode the message they had received.
A decryption cypher was provided to the bloggers at the second location. Bloggers solved their morse code clues and performed their task, which was to take a selfie with their team at the entrance of the restaurant and post it on their social media profile.
Nandos Pakistan replied from their official page on profiles of their quest participants and gave them instructions to reach the Khe-e-Sehar Branch, which was the final leg of the quest to “taste the carnival” where bloggers were treated with a guest appearance from Faiza Saleem of Khawatoon fame and were served the tantalizingly mouthwatering Espetada Carnival.
The theme activity goes with the tagline “Go Where The Carnival Takes You” which been experienced by the bloggers, and finally at the Nando’s Boat Basin branch they find the carnival with appetizing Espetada Carnival.
The activity was met with highly positive feedback from the bloggers who found it to be “engaging” and “entertaining”.

edotco, partners with Dawood Hercules, to acquire Jazz-owned Pakistan tower business “Deodar”.
Islamabad – 30 August 2017: edotco Group Sdn Bhd (“edotco”), in its biggest expansion to date, together with Dawood Hercules Corporation Limited (“DH Corp”), a leading listed investment conglomerate in Pakistan announced the acquisition of approximately 13,000 towers from Pakistan Mobile Communications Limited (Jazz).
edotco, through Tanzanite Tower Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of edotco Pakistan Private Limited (“edotco PK”), entered into an agreement with PMCL to acquire its tower subsidiary, Deodar Private Limited (“Deodar”) and its portfolio of over 13,000 tower assets. As part of the transaction, DH Corp will be investing a 45% equity stake with the remaining 55% control stake to be held by edotco. The total transaction consideration for the proposed acquisition is USD 940 million, which will be funded through a combination of debt and equity.

At the completion of the sale, Deodar will enter into a master services agreement (MSA) with Jazz, whereby it will continue to provide tower services to Jazz. The initial term of this MSA is twelve years and is renewable at Jazz’s discretion for three consecutive periods of five years each.
As a result of the terms of the Pakistan Mobile Communication Limited (Jazz)/Warid earn-out agreement, following the completion of the transaction, GTH’s stake in Jazz will be approximately 83%.

Imam Zamin TV One Drama an unforgettable story
Karachi, 21 August 2017: TVOne launched “Imam Zamin” a powerful serial written by master storyteller “Zafar Mairaj” in the bloggers’ meet-up with the prominent and talented cast held at the PiSocial Cafe.
Beautiful, convincing performances by Noman Ejaz, Iffat Omar, Seher Afzal and Shakeel add credibility to an intense love story that explores the theme of one man in love with two women.

The evening began with a visual presentation of Imam Zamin ‘s OST & Teasers. Later, host of the event “Sehwar Rahim” introduced cast and the crew including project head “Khalil Ullah Farooqi” director Shahid Zahoor & writer Zafar Mairaj.
The memorable OST is written by poet Sabir Zafar, composed by the famous Sahir Ali Bagga and sung by none other than melodious singers Ayma Baig and Sahir.

Main lead Iffat Omar & Seher Afzal were present at the venue, whereas Noman Ejaz graced the event with a special voice message from abroad.
Expressing his thoughts about Imam Zamin writer Zafar Mairaj said,
“I was working on this project for quite a while and one day on the roof top of TVOne with Khalil Ullah Farooqi I explored the atmosphere especially the nearby apartments and the stories related to the people living in them.
The subject of migration was untouched and I wanted to write about that, luckily TVOne and Seema Tahir Khan gave me that chance. Imam Zamin is a complicated story, Noman playing Munib, falls in love with two women and the story revolves around his passion and insecurities.”
Adding some bits about his direction and experience with the cast, director Shahid Zahoor said, I am honoured to be a part of Imam Zamin a serial written by Zafar and performed by Iffat, Noman, Seher , Noor & Shakeel Shab. Imam Zamin is a story which should be watched and heard simultaneously. The serial has so much in itself that it would be a task to understand “Munib” Noman Ejaz‘s position in the story.
Expressing her delights, host Shehwar opened the floor for bloggers/ publications and their queries. The questions and answers related to the story provided detailed insights and the cast got a chance to share their thoughts and experiences.

Peek Freans Sooper, the Nation’s favourite cookie launched the patriotic campaign titled #SooperHaiPakistan across the nation. As part of the campaign, they attempted to make the world’s largest flag made out of Sooper cookies on this 70th Independence Day.

[Karachi, 16th August 2017]: After a successful run in Lahore, one of the biggest and promising theatre events of the year; DATE NIGHT is set to be performed at the Karachi Arts Council starting 18th August.
The crew of the hit musical comedy, Date Night, is all set to perform in Karachi and make your evenings a whole lot better. The play stars Shah Fahad, Waleed Zaidi, Shaan Lashari, Mahnoor Khan and Sheherzade Noor Peerzada. Date Night is set in an expensive mini boutique hotel somewhere on the scenic side of England. The story revolves around two well off couples who go there for a weekend getaway, but get a surprise of their lifetime. The play is extremely funny and fast paced and will glue you to your seats and lift your spirits, as you delve into the story of romance and seduction.
The play is 1 hour and 22 minutes long and full of punch lines and amusing situations and includes three entertaining dance routines. All the actors who star in this play have a theatre experience of at least 8 years. The cast of five and the director have over 100 performances between them on stage.
Date Night takes its script from Derek Benfield and has been adopted for the Pakistani audience in the form of a musical. The play is a product of the rising duo Shaan Lashari and Dawar Lashari, who’ve returned to the stage after a short hiatus.
Previously, with hugely successful plays such as ‘Boeing Boeing (2009)’ and ‘Birdcage (2010)’, the pair has proven that they certainly have the talent and experience to put up quality productions that do not compromise on the aesthetics of theater, and add credibility to the already set legacy of the Lashari family.

Date night is a theatre play full of punch lines, amusing situations, and fantastic dance routines. The play is set in an expensive mini boutique hotel somewhere in the suburbs of England. Two well to do couples go there for a weekend getaway and now they are in for a surprise of a lifetime. This was first launched in Lahore, and played from 16th to 26th March 2017, and was a huge success. Now it is all set to run in Karachi from 18th to 27th August 2017.
