djuice brings Pakistan’s first interactive online film ‘Oye Kuch Kar Guzar’

Karachi – December 03, 2016: In pursuance of its commitment to empower youth, Pakistan’s first and only youth centric telecom brand djuice is bringing in the first Pakistani online film ‘Oye Kuch Kar Guzar’ or ‘take the plunge’ in collaboration with YouTube. The film will inspire and actuate Pakistani youth into discovering their true potential and self-reliance in order to work their way towards realizing their dreams.
The film is the first of its kind to be crafted and featured solely on YouTube. Besides inspiring youth into self-discovery and self-belief, the maiden online film will go long way in strengthening the digital ecosystem and digital uptake in the country. It will establish and bolster digital media as a convenient and reliable entertainment resource in the country.

‘Oye Kuch Kar Guzar’ is especially designed to appeal to the youth of Pakistan. It will be the first time that a brand will allow viewers to choose their own story by using annotations, cards and end screens. The film aspires to enable youth to overcome their constraints, follow their dreams, confidently express themselves and own up to their individuality.
The film is a distinct genre to allow the viewer to steer the story flow according to their own taste and preference. The film is split into mini episodes and at the end each episode, the viewer can navigate the story in their chosen direction, besides being able to skip ahead or see related videos throughout.

Sharing his thoughts, Bilal Kazmi, Chief Marketing Officer said, “It is the first time that a Pakistani brand has created this sort of digital content for youth to inspire and motivate them into facing their true selves. This relatively newer genre will enable viewers to direct the story according their whims. Within few years internet users are increasing rapidly in all over the world. But in Pakistan internet users are growing exponentially. First- ever PAKISTAN Film Festival to take place in New York
The Pakistan Film Festival – New York, produced by the continuous efforts of Dr. Maleeha Lodhi (The permanent representative of Pakistan to UN) –managed by Catwalk Event Management & Productions, will kick off on the 2nd of December with a red carpet reception at the United Nations for Ambassadors & representatives accredited to UN, as well as the members of Pakistani media and film. The festival will continue for 2 days, showcasing some of the finest films to come out of Pakistan in an era when cinema is undergoing a revival in the country.

Catwalk Event Management & Productions is managing the event, bringing in a number of celebrities, film stars as well as directors and producers of the movies that are to be screened & featured at the festival. Catalyst PR is handling the PR of the festival.
The CEO, Frieha Altaf, expressing her views regarding the festival said,
“The Pakistan film festival 2016 will bring in a selection of some of the finest films coming out of the Pakistan Film industry after decades of its struggle and revolution. There is already a great buzz in New York for the event.”
Catwalk Event Management & Productions has, in the past, worked collaboratively with Dr. Maliha Lodhi on different projects, events and launches.
In 2005 Catwalk Event Management organized a fashion event at Dr. Maleeha Lodhi’s residence in London, followed by, “Pakistan Festival” that took place in London on 28th July 2007, for the designer Maheen Khan, under the High Commissioner of Pakistan to the United Kingdom – Dr. Maleeha Lodhi, in partnership with the channel, GEO. The street parade at Regent Street- London was followed by a festival in Trafalgar Square. This was a special celebration as in 2007 it was 60 years since Pakistan declared independence on 14th August 1947 and was one of the mega events hosted by Dr. Maleeha Lodhi & Catwalk Event Management .Three floats representing fashion, sports and entertainment were displayed at the event. Performances by famous Pakistani singers and celebrities, in the parade, such as Abrar-ul Haq, Hadiqa Kiyani, and Jawad Ahmed were enjoyed to the fullest by the Londoners on the entertainment float. Sportsmen such as Jehangir Khan and Waqar Younis also graced the event with their presence on the sports float and accomplished fashion designers such as Nomi Ansari, Maheen Khan and Deepak Perwani along with some of Pakistan’s top models were present on the entertainment float. The energy of the 25000+ crowd was amazing!
The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 launch last year at the Lincoln Centre, New York with the nationwide brand face, Fawad Khan. On August 13, 2015 Pakistan’s permanent representative to UN, Maleeha Lodhi hosted a dinner with, PR maven, Frieha Altaf for Pakistani superstar Fawad Khan at her residence. Among those present at the largely-attended event were Pakistanis and officers of the Pakistan Mission to the UN and Consulate General.

Shaheen Air International Unveils an Exciting Inflight Entertainment System at IDEAS 2016

Islamabad – November 07, 2016: In line with its commitment to serve the community, Shaheen Air International (SAI) collaborated with EHD Foundation for the distribution of rations in Shazad Colony. The rations – worth one month of groceries, were given to around 500 people including widows and their families.
Speaking about this initiative, Amir Sukera, GM – Special Projects, Shaheen Air International said: “CSR is at the heart of SAI’s philosophy. Our values are derived from our management and we are firm believers of giving back to the community. Therefore, we actively conduct various CSR campaigns throughout the year. Shaheen Air International also encourages other corporations to adopt ambitious CSR policies and join us in serving Pakistan.”
The CSR campaign also featured the distribution of approximately 750 pairs of shoes among underprivileged students on the same day.

Fashion Pakistan Week Winter Festive 2016: Day-1 Journal
[Karachi: October 30th, 2016]: The pioneering Fashion Pakistan Council commenced the first day of Fashion Pakistan Week Winter Festive 2016 today at Pearl Continental, Karachi. #FPW2016 highlighted the fashion trends of the upcoming season where a mix of 20 renowned and upcoming designers will showcase the soul of Pakistani fashion through their collections.
The first day of #FPW2016 was opened by Amir Adnan followed by Maheen Karim, Mona Imran, Sonia Nazir; Urdu1 presents Kosem Sultan (Shamael Ansari & Amir Adnan), Suffuse by Sana Yasir, Jeem by Hamza Bokhari and HSY as summarized below. Make-up for Day-1 of Fashion Pakistan Week Winter Festive 2016 was done by the creative team at N-Pro for the female models while N-Gents groomed the male models.
In terms of further patrons and sponsors, the success of Fashion Pakistan Week Winter Festive 2016 continues to prompt private sector associates to grow in their engagement of the platform to launch new products, marketing campaigns and promotional activities sharing a common vision with the FPC to develop and promote Pakistan’s fashion industry. Maheen Karim – Tales of Vienna Woods
Second showcase for the evening was by Maheen Karim with a host of flawless soiree dresses and eclectic silhouettes Maheen Karim empowers the woman of today with luxuriantly decorated occasion wear. This collection brings out the intensity and confidence of the women of the Habsburg Empire while maintaining its elegant imperial regality.
Mona Imran bridal collection tilted “Gold Rush”
Mona Imran showcased her new S/S 2016 bridal collection tilted “Gold Rush” at FPW 2016. For this accumulation MI mixed gold shading with various outline line, themes, cuts and fine weaving and close eye on each and every piece for point by point hand work with something additional. Joined shading with component, outline with delicate music.


Bridal Showcase: Sobia Nazir
Sobia Nazir’s collection consisted of luxury pret merged with tropical and baroque elements together for this collection. The color palette started with hues of beige and Olive green and went towards black and gold, with a total of 16 garments for FPW 16, she focused on baroque elements merged with tropical designs, a high class blend of vogue, elegance and comfort.

Bridal Showcase: Suffuse
Suffuse by Sana Yasir’s collection ‘Freesia’ was all about a woman of class and elegance. This collection personified a woman of noble lineage who is fond of her family history and heirlooms. She likes to stylize her entity in fusion with the modern trends. The capsule collection gave variation from ethnic embroideries, cutwork materials to exquisite crystal pearl jewel encrusted elements to give the European glamour blended in.
Bridal Couture ‘Naurooz by Hamza Bokhari
Jeem by Hamza Bokhari showcased his Bridal Couture collection called “Naurooz” which was a collection inspired by forgotten Persian art by using a lot of miniature ceremonial references like pomegranates and stags on richer hand woven surfaces like brocades, hand loomed nets and velvets. Each outfit depicted a tale from a long lost Persian heritage. A lot of gold, magenta and mints were used to bring imageries to reality.
HSY collection titled Onyx
A designer without whom any fashion week would remain incomplete is Hassan Sheheryar Yasir. Whether it’s the designer’s heavily embellished collections, which have become testaments of his mammoth fame, or his perfect attention to detail, HSY is one designer to definitely look out for! However, this time around get ready to be shell-shocked with his collection titled Onyx, which will focus on the working woman.
