Mufti Abdul Qavi is a prominent Islamic Scholar; however, these are the controversies with women that keep him in the limelight. Earlier, it was Qandeel Baloch and now his latest video surfaced with Hareem Shah, a Tiktok Influencer.
Shah shared a video of herself and Qavi on Monday in which she can be seen slapping the cleric. In the video, Qavi is sitting on the bed when out of nowhere, Shah lands a slap on his face because of his βvulgarβ remarks.
The video is from a hotel in Karachi which has also been uploaded on Hareem Shahβs Instagram account where she says, ββI will share the reason for slapping Mufti Qavi soon.β
While talking to a media channel, Shah said that the reason she slapped Qavi is that she lost her patience. The scholar engaged in inappropriate conversation with her and a cousin who went there with her.
The Tiktok star also shared that Mufti Qavi shamelessly talked about drugs, alcohol and forbidden sexual relationships.
Shah also claims that they have recording of the whole conversation and public can decide themselves whether or not this slap was justified. She went on to say that she has no regrets of hitting Qavi.

In his defence, Mufti Qavi says that this was a sudden slap and he was not expecting this. All this happened when he was drinking tea and these two women entered to slap him and left.
This is too early to comment on this story. All we know is that both the characters have been in news in the past for all the wrong reasons. Moreover, it is better to wait for more details to form an opinion.

What is the use of that charming personality when you are not smelling nice? You may be showering your favourite perfume again and again, but sadly, it is just a short fix. A better solution is to use the right amount of perfume with tricks that will make it last longer.
Moisturize Skin Before Applying Perfume
You can never go wrong with a little moisturizer as it helps locking in the perfume better. Use an unscented moisturizer to avoid mixing up two fragrances.
Use Perfume After Shower
Hygiene is important but it is even more important when you are about to apply a perfume. A clean and dry body ensures that you smell nice throughout the day, without any body or sweat smell.
Keep Perfumes Away from Heat
Perfumes that are kept in dry and cool places tend to last longer because their quality and molecular structure remain intact. The same perfume will lose its fragrance when placed under the sunlight or at a damped shelf.
Use Hairbrush to Scent Your Hair
Who does not like good smelling hair? The best way to do so is by spraying a little amount of your favourite perfume on your hairbrush and then combing the hair with it. Your hair will smell good the whole day without any damage because you are using a brush to scent your hair.
Do Not Rub
Rubbing perfume can break down its chemical composition, causing the fragrance to go away fast. Instead of rubbing, try dabbing gently and experience the difference yourself.
When you apply perfume the right way, you end up smelling good all the time. Above all, you do not have to apply it again and again.

This was a much-awaited episode, thanks to the last epidode where Zohra finally reveals her true identity to Moosa. Now the audience was eagerly waiting to see how Moosa will react to this reality. This episode shows that there is no going back for Moosa. On the other hand, Zohra, too, seems to be liking him, which is a bit off as she gave the impression of being a hard-to-get person. Esa and Sakina are two more characters who are coming in the limelight with each episode.
Moosa is still struggling to name his feelings for Zohra. At one point, he does confess his love for her though. This is against his own beliefs and is contrary to picture of the woman he imagined he would fall in love with. Turns out, Moosa is head over heels in love with Zohra, even after knowing everything about her. In order to find out answers to his questions, Moosa even agrees to pay for a meeting with his love. It would be interesting to see how Ana Ji handles this situation further as she has already got an idea about what is cooking.
Sakinaβs character is a bit smarter than the audience anticipated. She is capable of manipulating people and this is exactly what she is doing with Esa. Esa, who has started liking her, is falling for her tricks.
Raqs e Bismil reflects the dual standards we have for male and female in our society. Like when Sakina was in a similar situation, Pir Sahab behaved differently and now with Moosa, he appears to be more relaxed. Also, Pir Sahab is such an influential figure in his area, yet he went to get his son released, why? This could have easily been done via a phone call.
It is needless to say that Moosa and Esa are two characters who are doing exceptionally good acting. Zohra seemed a little bit less impressive today but Sakina surprised everyone with her performance. Looking forward the next episode now.
[Karachi 15 January 2021] Muhammad Ayan and Muhammad Aman, born as conjoined twins to Mr. and Mrs. Israr Ahmed, are now living as two healthy children after a successful separation surgery performed at the Aga Khan University Hospital (AKUH) on 12 December 2020.
Ayan and Aman were Omphalopagus type of conjoined twins, in which the bodies of the two are joined at the abdomen and several internal organs are shared, including liver and sometimes the intestines. The twin brothers shared a small portion of the liver.

βIt was an extremely challenging journey for us. Before coming to AKUH, I had a dream that Ayan and Aman were separate. That dream gave me hopeβ, said Israr, while narrating the events that led him to AKUH. βMy family and I were convinced that this hospital is for the rich and receiving treatment from here will never be a possibility for us. But, my Allah made the Aga Khan University Hospital the saviour of my children. The doctors told us to not worry about the expenses, as they would be taken care of by the Patient Welfare Programme.β
Conjoined twinning is a very rare congenital anomaly, with an overall incidence of 1 in 250,000 births. This happens when the embryo does not separate successfully in the motherβs womb to form two individuals. Although there is no known cause for the conjoining, it can be diagnosed early in the pregnancy through an ultrasound.
While surgery is the only method of separating the conjoined twins, it cannot be performed in all cases. This is because the complexity of and survival rates after the surgery depends primarily upon the joining sites and the type and number of organs joined internally.

To perform this exceptionally difficult surgery, a multi-disciplinary team of highly skilled healthcare experts came together to meticulously plan and organise their efforts. These teams included Doctors, Nurses and Technicians from Paediatric Surgery, Anaesthesiology, and Radiology amongst active participants, and Gastrointestinal Surgery and Neurosurgery amongst those on stand-by. The nature of this surgery is such that it demands double the amount of resources and concurrent functioning of all teams to manage and save both lives.
Prior to the surgery, an advanced imaging and three-dimensional prototyping was used to fully understand the nature of the conjoining, expertise required and necessary reshuffling of the resources. Dr. Zafar Nazir, Paediatric Surgeon at the Aga Khan University Hospital, led the efforts to perform the 8 hour-long surgery with the support of over 50 clinical and administrative staff.
βThis is a rare surgery that the Hospital has performed for the second time. A tremendous amount of effort went in to the rearrangement of the resources, both inside and outside the Operating Room. But, at the end of this procedure, it was a joy to watch both the boys get a new lifeβ, commented Dr. Zafar Nazir as he recalled the events of the treatment.
The role of the anaesthesiologists was of great significance, as they had to ensure that both the babies were stable throughout the procedure. βThe perioperative care of Ayan and Aman was like no other. As they were joined at the torso and facing each other, a complete incision required flipping them around. Therefore, we could not have intubated them, as it would have hampered the movement. We opted for an intravenous drug and ensured a thoroughly managed sedation throughout the procedureβ, recalled Dr. Faisal Shamim, Anaesthesiologist at Aga Khan University Hospital.
Israr Ahmed and his wife are not the only parents to have gone through this pain and suffering of finding the appropriate treatment. There are many such families who are in dire need to receive compassionate care and high-quality treatment. Treating such rare and critical health conditions offers the experts at the Aga Khan University Hospital, a commendable opportunity to test and enhance our systems and capabilities, and learn to design innovative health solutions for our people in Pakistan. But, most importantly, it gives us immense joy to watch distressed families go back home healthy and happy with their loved ones.
Pakistan is amongst the few countries where polio virus is still spreading. While other countries have used vaccine and other preventive measures to get rid of this virus, Pakistan is still struggling to vaccinate children and change mindsets of people regarding this vaccine at the same time.
Recently, Polio Vaccine Drives have been happening frequently to contain the spread and eradicate the virus. For this very reason, frontline workers and their efforts must be appreciated. They go home to home in order to ensure that no child under the age of 5 remains deprived of the vaccine, no matter what the circumstances are.
From the current ongoing Polio drive, a video has been circulating on social media. The video is from a remote area of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), which seems almost inaccessible due to knee-high snow. However, the brave polio workers are still making their way to their designated areas. The objective is to make sure they give vaccines to the children and prevent the further spread of the poliovirus.
Our frontline polio heroes are unstoppableβ

The video hails from the north-eastern part of the AJK.
In order to reach far-fetched areas, Polio Eradication Program has joined hands with the Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI). The goal is to make more and more children immune to the polio virus.
Soon after the video was uploaded, everyone started applauding the brave women who are moving ahead despite of obstacles and are dedicatedly doing their job.
Here is to hoping that we will soon be able to achieve a Polio-Free Pakistan.
The Role of Rotary International in Polio Eradication
Rotary has been working to eradicate polio for more than 35 years. Our goal of ridding the world of this disease is closer than ever.
As a founding partner of the Global Polio Eradication Initiative, we’ve reduced polio cases by 99.9 percent since our first project to vaccinate children in the Philippines in 1979.
Rotary members have contributed more than $2.1 billion and countless volunteer hours to protect nearly 3 billion children in 122 countries from this paralyzing disease. Rotaryβs advocacy efforts have played a role in decisions by governments to contribute more than $10 billion to the effort.
Today, polio remains endemic only in Afghanistan and Pakistan. But itβs crucial to continue working to keep other countries polio-free. If all eradication efforts stopped today, within 10 years, polio could paralyze as many as 200,000 children each year.
More power to all frontline healthcare workers.

A few months ago, Atif Aslam received a notice from the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) for tax evasions. Now the latest update on this news is that the renowned signer of Asia still has not paid his income tax. Considering this, another notice has been given to Atif Aslam by the FBR to submit his dues worth Rs 58 Million in a month.
According to reports, Tu Jaanay Na singer was sent the first notice by the FBR in November. He was informed that his flats in Dubai are not mentioned in his taxation details. This leads the FBR to send an official income tax notice to the singer.

Today, another follow-up notice has been sent to Atif Aslam after carefully auditing his 2018 income. The notice mentions that Aslam has to submit Rs 58 Million in 30 days, local media reported.
Aslam has been given a monthβs time to submit this amount. Failing to do so in the given time will result in freezing his bank accounts. The FBR will then be able to recover the said amount from his frozen assets, claims the Federal Board of Revenue.

In the light of Tax Laws in Pakistan, people are allowed to pay their taxes in Pakistan or the country they have assets in. This saves them from paying the taxes twice.
The FBR in Pakistan is very active and every now and then, we see it sending notices to the artists. Earlier, it was Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and Sana Fakhar who were notified for the very same reason.
Saba Qamar and Noor Bukhari too have been investigated by the FBR for their incomes, however, the matter was sorted out when they showed evidence of not being involved in any kind of tax evasions.

WhatsApp Introduces New Privacy Policy and Pakistani Memes Are Breaking the Internet
WhatsApp is one of the largest messaging apps globally, especially in Pakistan where people depend on it for chats, calls and transferring documents and pictures. Up till now, WhatsApp was deemed as one of the most reliable platforms for communication because of the privacy and encrypted conversations it offered.
However, recently, WhatsApp came up with an updated privacy policy which did not sit well with most of the users. According to the new policy, WhatsApp can access your group chats and it will then be used by Facebook Inc and its subsidiaries for better targeting the audience for advertisement.
While some people uninstalled the app and moved to other alternatives like Telegram and Signal, Pakistani Twitter got crazy and one after another meme made everyone laugh. Here is how the youth responded on the news with their best of humorous skills.
One thing is for sure, no one can beat Pakistanis when it comes to meme. We always find a way to make things entertaining, no matter how serious the topic is and this significantly lessens the stress levels.

This episode was full of surprises and drama. Moosa (Imran Ashraf) is still deeply and madly in love with Zohra even though he has not seen a single glimpse of her yet, without veil. All he knows is that Zohra is a pious lady who observes hijab, and this is exactly the kind of woman he would want to marry.
Source: Hum TV
Contrary to his own belief and sayings, Moosa is in love but he is not willing to accept it. He was seen convincing Zohra (Sarah Khan) to marry her throughout the episode. He seemed like a naive person with a soft corner for people, which is not the real Moosa we saw in the previous episodes.

Zohra on the other hand, appreciated whatever Moosa did for her. However, she prefers showing her true self to Moosa instead of just telling him. No wonder Moosa was surprised to the core when he got to know that Zohra is not someone he has perceived to be. She belonged to a family of entertainers and was part of a high-end party when Moosa spotted her.

Esa and Sakina are still trying to figure out things. Sakina proves herself to be more stubborn while Esa is being patient, but he gives Sakina a reality check for sure. Esa also tells her that he is bearing all this because of her parents, who he respects a lot. But the truth is that he also loves Sakina. Momin provokes Sakina and asks her to see who is βBeghairatβ; himself or her ex. Seems like this will intrigue Sakina to search for her ex and somehow, she will end up falling in love with Esa.
