Mahira Khan & Sheheryar Munawar starrer “Saat Din Mohabbat In” shoot begins today

[Karachi – 1st August 2017] The much talked about Dawn Films and IMGC’s first star-studded movie, ‘Saat Din Mohabbat In’ has gone on-floor today in Karachi after successful rehearsals throughout July.

The film will star the gorgeous Mahira Khan, alongside the Sheheryar Munawar in leading roles, and will be their second film together after the 2016 blockbuster ‘Ho Mann Jahaan.’ This film will mark Mira Sethi’s film debut along with model turned actor Aamna Illyas next foray on the big screen. Aamir Qureshi and Adnan Shah Tipu will also be seen in titular roles.

The film, scripted by Fasih Bari Khan, follows a young man on a quest to find his true love in a crowded Karachi neighbourhood. Like all good love stories, he will encounter spiritual and physical obstacles that he must overcome in order to achieve his goals.

Director duo Meenu Gaur and Farjad Nabi have teamed up with renowned Director of Photography, Rana Kamran, who has hits like Na Maloom Afraad to his credit, rolled the camera today with the first shot.

Saat Din Mohabbat In is slated to release in 2018.
Project Ghazi to release on July 14, 2017

[Karachi: 2nd June, 2017] The most anticipated feature film of this year, Project Ghazi, is all set to release on July 14, 2017 nationwide.

Project Ghazi is Pakistan’s first Super Hero feature film, starring Sheheryar Munawar, Humayun Saeed, Syra Shahroze, Talat Hussain, Amir Qureshi, Nusrat Hidayatullah and Adnan Jaffer. Project Ghazi promises to enthrall audiences with its visuals, actions, visual effects and overall Hollywood style aesthetics.

The film also features a super villain, Qataan (played by Adnan Jaffer) who has already invoked a lot of attention on social media.

“In Pakistan, we need to make films that explore new genres while still being engaging for the audience. Super hero films are the equivalent of modern day mythologies, and can be a source for innovative stories. Working in feature films has been a long standing goal and I am working hard to create something unique.” shares Nadir Shah who has directed Project Ghazi.

“Most of the films being produced in Pakistan are Bollywood inspired rom-coms, I wanted to move away from that and produce a film in a genre largely ignored by the Pakistani cinema. I wanted to give our audiences a taste of films closer to Hollywood with Pakistani talent”, comments Syed Mohammed Ali Raza, Producer and co-writer of Project Ghazi.

Award-winning filmmaker Asim Abbasi continues shooting for his directorial debut feature film ‘Cake’ in London

[Karachi: May 8, 2017]: Award-winning filmmaker Asim Abbasi, will launch his directorial debut feature film titled ‘Cake’ in Cinemas at the end of this year. Set in the present-day world of Karachi and London, ‘Cake’ offers a heartfelt look at the realities of life and death, of past and present, of choices and consequences.

The film unfolds a story about the passage of time seen through the eyes of one family member to another. The cast is led by leading Pakistani actors Aamina Sheikh, Adnan Malik and Sanam Saeed. Last night, Executive Producer of ‘Cake’, Sayed Zulfiqar Bukhari hosted the cast, crew and many members of the film and creative fraternity to celebrate the beginning of the film’s London shoot. He comments “I have been watching the evolution of Pakistani cinema over the years and am excited to be a part of this project to showcase Pakistani talent to an international audience. Cake is a film about responsibility and choice’s according to Asim Abbasi, the writer & director of the film. ‘The story unravels layer by layer, as the characters confront past secrets and buried truths. Cake is directed by Asim Abbasi, with the screenplay also written by Asim Abbasi. The Director of Photography is Mo Azmi and Aarij Hashimi is the Production Designer.

The film is being produced by UK production company – Indus Talkies, with Mahnoor Amna Mahmood as the Associate Producer and Sayed Zulfiqar Bukhari as the Executive Producer. Cake will launch at the end of 2017.

Chalay Thay Saath to release nationwide on 21st April 2017

[Karachi, 8th March 2017]: Chalay Thay Saath, the highly awaited upcoming feature film produced by We Think Films in association with Hot Water Bottle Films, is ready to hit cinemas across Pakistan on April 21st, 2017. Chalay Thay Saath is a romantic-drama film which has been directed by Umer Adil, produced by Beenish Umer with Sheikh Shiraz Mubashir as the Executive Producer. The ensemble star cast includes Syra Shahroz, Kent S. Leung, Behrooz Sabzwari, Mansha Pasha, Zhalay Sarhadi, Shamim Hilaly, Osama Tahir, Faris Khalid and Sherbaaz Kaleem.

Chalay Thay Saath is a feel-good film that depicts a journey of growth, friendship, love and loss, set in beautiful Gilgit- Baltistan reagion in the north of Pakistan. The film revolves around the character of Resham; a doctor who is on a trip home with her friends who have never been there before.
