Shaheen Air Operates its First Hajj Flight from Quetta

The airline flew the city’s maiden private Hajj flight with the aim of facilitating the people of Quetta on this blessed journey

Karachi – 01 August 2017: Shaheen Air International operated the first-ever Hajj flight from Quetta on 30th of July making it the only carrier operating Hajj flights from the city this year. The plane took off for Saudi Arabia from Quetta at 0330 hours and landed in Madinah – where the pilgrims were warmly greeted by distinguished guests. It is also commendable that the aeroplane flew 15 minutes earlier than the planned departure of 0345 hours – a testimony of Shaheen Air’s efficient Hajj operations.

A total of 149 Hujjaj flew from the metropolis on the remarkable Airbus A320. The pilgrims cut a cake inside the aircraft along with chief guests to commemorate the occasion. The auspicious guests comprised Senator Hafiz Hamdullah, Chairman – Senate Standing Committee on Religious Affairs, Sardar Raza Muhammad Barech, Advisor to the Chief Minister Baluchistan for IT, Mir Muhammad Khan Lehri, Advisor to the Chief Minister for Mines and Sheheryar Sehbai, Executive Director – South, Shaheen Air International.

Speaking on this propitious occasion, Sheheryar Sehbai, Executive Director – South, Shaheen Air International remarked: “Shaheen Air is dedicatedly committed to providing remarkable facilities to its valued passengers all over the country and it is indeed a great feat to be the only private airline in Pakistan to fly pilgrims from Quetta for the blessed endeavor of Hajj this year.”

“As Pakistan’s second national carrier, we aim to fly over 4,800 Hujjaj from Quetta this year and have put in our heart & soul to achieve that target and serve our nation.” he further added.

The Airbus A319 has been custom-fitted with thin and linear seats to provide added comfort to passengers. Due to this, it can accommodate around 150 passengers in its all-economy segment. Shaheen Air International Unveils an Exciting Inflight Entertainment System at IDEAS 2016

Karachi – November 21, 2016: Shaheen Air International (SAI) is set to become the first private air carrier to unveil a unique inflight entertainment (IFE) system that is set to make air travel more exciting. The company is showcasing the system at the 9th IDEAS 2016 – where it is the exclusive commercial airliner to participate.

The system, dubbed Shaheen Infotainment (SIE), is a remarkable inflight entertainment system which can be downloaded as an application through a wireless server. It can run on smartphones, tablets and laptops, thus liberating passengers from fixating on a single screen.

Triumphing on Shaheen Air’s achievement of taking inflight entertainment to a whole new level, Zohaib Hassan, Chief Marketing Officer, Shaheen Air International said: “We pride ourselves in being at the forefront of introducing innovative travel offerings for our passengers. Shaheen Air International Partners with EHD Foundation to Help the Needy

The airliner distributed rations amongst widows and their families in alliance with the NGO

Islamabad – November 07, 2016: In line with its commitment to serve the community, Shaheen Air International (SAI) collaborated with EHD Foundation for the distribution of rations in Shazad Colony. The rations – worth one month of groceries, were given to around 500 people including widows and their families.

Speaking about this initiative, Amir Sukera, GM – Special Projects, Shaheen Air International said: “CSR is at the heart of SAI’s philosophy. Our values are derived from our management and we are firm believers of giving back to the community. Therefore, we actively conduct various CSR campaigns throughout the year. Shaheen Air International also encourages other corporations to adopt ambitious CSR policies and join us in serving Pakistan.”

The CSR campaign also featured the distribution of approximately 750 pairs of shoes among underprivileged students on the same day.
